THE LORE

I’m Jaden. 27 and counting. Married.

I’ve been video editing and filming since 2015 when I first started learning Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas. I began taking classes through my high school, and as time progressed, Premiere Pro won out and became my preferred editing suite. (Along with the world as well since Sony Vegas has fallen into obscurity)

I started my journey into photography through my own personal interest in 2019 when I acquired my first DSLR. Which in 2020, I started doing it professionally through my work at La Casa Tour. (A real estate marketing company) leading me to eventually take on clients of my own outside of the work there. Balancing clients and my growing YouTube channel, allowing me to leave La Casa to work independently. (work was also on a steady decline due to the real estate market fluctuating)

During my time at La Casa, I was mainly a video editor. I would edit all the footage shot the previous day putting out 7-12 videos a day. All for high paying clients so quality and attention to detail were an upmost priority.

Most of my time still is spent on editing videos, both for mine and others YouTube content, as this has become my area of expertise over these past few years of learning trends in social media and studying SEO.

(The YouTube Side)

I started making Sonic content through podcasts and audio dramas in 2018-2020. In 2020, I began to put an emphasis on growing my experience with YouTube, throwing many different things at the wall until early 2021 when I noticed an interesting trend. There was a lot of views going towards Sonic news content covering info about upcoming titles. But despite the large views for this niche, the quality of the content was all across the board very low. From minimal editing, to ugly thumbnails that took clickbait to an extreme, blatantly lying in their presentation. I saw all of this as an opportunity to break into this demographic with news videos that had a lot of care in how they were reported. And editing showcasing humor and passion throughout the content I was putting out. This naturally blew the channel up, with a steady growth over the course of just a few years to where it is now. Going from 50k subs to now over 200k.

(The Future)

My plan for the future is in addition to working with clients to help grow audience, to delve into a new genre with the personal content I produce.

Overall trends across all channels show Sonic content is in a downswing and it’s peak in popularity has already been hit. So the next step is without spoiling the plans, to create a new channel for an audience much larger in scope than Sonic. Growing that while continuing Sonic Show, but once popularity has eclipsed, moving full time into the other channel and doing Sonic Show as a passion project that gets less attention from me. But that’s the plan!
